The Clock Project is a “three tense” electromechanical clock, with a custom gear train nesting three independent movements along a single axis. At any given moment, the hands display normal time, as well as sped up time and sped up time in reverse. Tim designed the case and movement, and the build was executed by Tim & Joshua Sledge with help from Aaron Williamson, Kris Pastuszka, and Micah Nickerson.
The clock was a component of a much larger and deeply collaborative sculptural installation conceived by Lorenzo Clayton. Titled Consciously Conscious Numbers, the work was shown at the Wilmer Jennings Gallery in April of 2013, as part of The Old Becomes The New: New York Contemporary Native American Art Movement and the New York School Curated by David Bunn Martine.
